Andrée, her sister
Huguette and Andrée, daughters of the multimillionaire former senator W. A. Clark, arrived in New York harbor in July 1910, immigrants to their own country. They shared a bedroom in the Clark Mansion on Fifth Avenue, a home with 121 rooms for a family of four. Andrée, who was four years older than Huguette, would die at age 16 of meningitis.
